Classic Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Add the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve the banana bread warm or at room temperature.
For a twist on the classic recipe, try adding a handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter before baking. You can also sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top before baking for an extra layer of flavor and crunch.
